The Korean Name Compatibility Test
Every Korean over the age of ten has done this in the back of a notebook: write two names, count the strokes, add them in a pyramid, and let the last two digits decide your fate. It's called ireum gunghap (이름 궁합) — and it works with any names, in any alphabet we support.
Korean (자모 strokes) and English letters both work — even mixed. Use at least 2 letters per name. Tip: first names only is the classic playground format.
Ireum gunghap (이름 궁합) is a Korean schoolyard game, not fortune telling — stroke counts follow standard print forms, and playground versions vary by region (arguing about the counting is part of the game). For entertainment only.
